Handy Hint

It is normal for some liquid (whey) separation to occur. The protein in the yoghurt releases the water in the form of whey.

The whey shows you that the live, active cultures are really alive and active. Whey is full of nutrients and therefore very healthy for you. Just stir it back into the yoghurt to make sure you get all the nutritional benefits.

Goats Milk Yoghurt

The only thing you will find in our Goats Milk Yoghurt is 100% pure New Zealand Goats Milk* and millions of pro-biotics -  those are the good guys who take care of your internal flora and fauna and keep you feeling great!

The composition of Goats Milk naturally produces a very white, softly set yoghurt. We don’t add any thickeners or other ‘bulkers’ to change that,  so treat your yoghurt with love - spoon it out carefully and admire the delicate texture.

The thin watery content in the yoghurt is the whey that separates, and shows that your yoghurt is a living thing. Either spoon it out separately or stir it in for thinner, drinking yoghurt or whip up a delicious smoothie.

Goats milk is a nourishing and delicious alternative for those who have problems digesting cows milk.

Goats milk contains smaller fat particles than cows milk and can be a great choice for children who are unable to tolerate cows milk or for those who have digestive problems. Goats milk may also be suitable for those who have a history of eczema, hay fever, asthma or other allergic disorders due to cows milk allergy.

Goats milk is a nourishing natural food for those who are allergic or sensitive to cows milk which can cause diarrhoea, bloating, eczema and asthma. Goat milk digests easily making it the perfect food for children, the elderly, those with digestive difficulties, those recuperating from a disease, and pets that have been weaned from their mother. Goats milk is suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women. Goats milk is an excellent calcium source, which will assist in strengthening bones and teeth, and in the prevention of osteoporosis.

Goats milk is an important daily source of protein. Two servings per day will supply a young child with half its daily requirement. Goats milk tends to have a better buffering and neutralising quality than cows milk, and so is helpful for the treatment of digestive acidity, ulceration, and inflammation. The digestibility of goats milk can be attributed to its casein curd, which is both softer and smaller than that produced by cows milk. The smaller and softer the curd, the more easily accepted by the human digestive system. Many infants who have difficulty digesting cows milk find goats milk a soothing natural alternative.

* Note that the goats milk that we use may contain preservatives e407 and e452. Nothing further is added to the milk during the yoghurt making process. This enables us to provide this yoghurt all year round.
